The tenth week once more provided excitement, with a huge upset for the Buffalo Bills proving the 'any Sunday can bring surprises' saying that draws so many fans into the National Football League
That result may have opened things up for the Patriots to move back into a top spot they used to occupy, with a remaining games that provides them an advantage over their eight and two competitors
Meanwhile in the NFC the Seattle Seahawks and Los Angeles Rams had perfect results to set up a monster clash in week 11, while our player of the week is chasing records as well as the Most Valuable Player award
Analysis - Simply an Off Day for Buffalo?
Was it just an emotional comedown from beating the Chiefs the previous week or something more? That's the question for the Buffalo team to address
The Buffalo squad had won seven in a consecutive games against Miami but were outperformed from the beginning as the Dolphins ran out 30-13 winners in an eye-opening outcome - and display
MVP quarterback Josh Allen only achieved the team's initial first down in the third period and first points in the fourth - admittedly the Dolphins had ten days to get ready but it was nonetheless a massive egg laid by one of the NFL's top offences
Dolphins quarterback Tua passed for two touchdowns but rusher De'Von Achane was the game-changing factor, with 225 combined yards and two touchdowns
Bottling up the NFL's top running game was also key, with Cook and company registering just 86 yards, their lowest of the season and slightly more than half their 161.5 yard average
Additionally there were the three critical turnovers, and the two from Josh Allen in particular. An pass caught by defense in the end zone meaning a nine-minute drive yielded no points, and his fourth-quarter fumble that the Dolphins converted to a touchdown just two plays
It was typical 'old Buffalo' as they hurt themselves in the foot, falling into a hole on defensive side and Allen trying to do too much to rescue his squad out of it - not the composed, disciplined, balanced Buffalo team we've witnessed this year
Miami have served up a varied performances this season so the verdict is uncertain on whether this is the beginning of something, but for the Bills they'll need an immediate bounce-back in a tough game against the Buccaneers next week as the New England are quietly moving into a nice lead at the top of the American Football Conference East
In Focus - New England See Path to Surprise Top Seed
Speaking of the Patriots, they're one of three different 8-2 squads in the NFL, all AFC teams, but are they the best?
You can pick holes in New England, the Broncos and Indianapolis actually for feasting on the weaker opponents, with just five of their combined 24 wins coming against teams with a positive record - and one example was the Indianapolis beating the Denver
Denver defeated the reigning champion Eagles in Philadelphia and are masters of the final quarter while Indianapolis can rely on Jonathan Taylor, but the New England adding Sunday's victory in Tampa to their primtime success in Orchard Park seems like a statement
Their pair of losses came in new head coach Mike Vrabel's initial three games, with seven straight wins, similar to Denver, since then - but taking down Mayfield after the Bucs had a week off to get ready was huge
Drake Maye's Most Valuable Player credentials continue to be discussed, and he certainly earns point for courage after taking some hard tackles in Tampa Bay but persevering to guide his side to success
The defense is solid and rookie running back TreVeyon Henderson exploded on Sunday with 147 rushing yards and two exhilerating touchdowns of 55 and 69 yards - becoming just the fifth different runner to exceed 22mph this year on his first score
Although you can debate who 'the best' is statistically, the Pats should be favorites to end with the top record thanks to their remaining opponents - which includes just one game against a successful opponent, although a huge one against the Bills
Visiting the Ravens is challenging too, but Denver have it more difficult in the AFC West with the Kansas City to face two times, the Chargers (who could also challenge for first place but encounter the same problem) and also the Green Bay on the fixture list
The Colts also face the Chiefs, and have the Seahawks, San Francisco and two games with the five and four Jacksonville to contend with. There is a considerable distance to go but the door is available for a shock top seed in the AFC
Coming Up - Los Angeles and Seattle Set for Week 11 Showdown
Two teams with strong arguments to be better than all of the three different eight and two sides are National Football Conference West rivals the Seattle and Rams, who both scored forty points to go to seven and two ahead of the upcoming Hollywood blockbuster meeting between the two in Los Angeles
They've both won four in a row, have signal callers in Matthew Stafford and Sam Darnold performing at an elite level (although Sam Darnold had ball security problems on game day) with excellent pass catchers, and defenses allowing under 20 points a contest
Both could easily be undefeated as too - especially the Rams as their pair of losses came in extra time against the San Francisco and then that painful defeat in Philadelphia when they had a potentially winning kick with the final play blocked and returned by the Philadelphia for a touchdown
Seattle were also defeated to the 49ers, with a late touchdown in week one, before falling to the final play of the game against the Buccaneers - so they are genuinely among the best sides in the league
The next matchup on Sunday could be the best of the year so far
Top Performer - Taylor
Jonathan Taylor might be on for a record season after his incredible display in Berlin - rushing for 244 rushing yards, scoring three scores and adding another forty-two {receiving yards
