In the extremely cutthroat realm of gaming, it's usual for new contenders to vanish as swiftly as they explode onto the scene.

But Battlefield 6 is aiming to change that.

This is the most recent addition in a established combat FPS series often framed as a more authentic answer to the CoD series.

The franchise has never quite managed to rival its most famous competitor in terms of units sold or players, but evidence points to the recent entry could close the gap.

A preview event giving users a shot to test the title earlier this year achieved milestones, and the hype heading into its launch has been massive.

We have talked to some of the creators to discover how they hope it will succeed.

Several teams are developing the game under the unified development umbrella.

They include original series producer the Swedish studio, located in Sweden, LA's Motive developers and the Canadian studio in Canada.

One more, the Guildford team, is based in the UK.

A key leader is the studio head of the pair of continental studios, and shares with reporters that, in respect of what it's offering users, "Battlefield 6 is probably unbeatable."

Learning From Earlier Shortcomings

The game follows the heels of the advanced the previous game, released previously to a poor response it struggled to bounce back from.

"It's likely that we would not be able to create and produce the latest entry absent the lessons we acquired in Battlefield 2042," Rebecka shares with us.

A key those insights was to get the community engaged early, and the team launched exclusive community testing sessions in recent months.

This "feedback was explosively positive," says Rebecka.

A further missing element from Battlefield 2042 was a story mode, which has been reintroduced this time around.

The Guildford team creative lead Fas Salim is the one responsible for "guaranteeing those missions are as fun and engaging as possible for the gamers."

Regardless of reports that the size of the title had created pressure for the different studios partnering globally to develop the game, Fas is positive about the endeavor.

"Collaborating with diverse cultures, distinct backgrounds, it's a very fascinating setting to be part of every day," he explains.

"This whole method has been an innovation but something very exciting because we are working with people from all over the world."

Concerning the expectation on the developers, the director says: "We feel demand but also it's thrilling.

"We're dealing with a major undertaking. It's likely the most significant that the majority of the team have ever worked on."

New Talent Contributes Fresh Insight

That's absolutely accurate of no less than a single developer, lighting artist Vlad Kokhan.

The 21-year-old produces the lighting elements that shape the mood, feel, and direction of the story mode.

The artist finished an training period at the studio before obtaining a position at the company, and presently is employed on a part-time basis while completing his VFX degree at his school.

The developer explains he's a long-time supporter of the franchise, and remembers playing the earlier title of the line at a buddy's place when he was a child.

Working on it now, as his debut career position, "seems unreal actual."

"It's truly amazing witnessing the marketing everywhere," he comments.

"To know that I have added my own thing into the project is really surreal."
