The young full-back Another confident performance from the 20-year-old following his initial appearance against Serbia. A teammate was unable to take the most of a clever backheel behind the opposing backline. His position looks secure at this stage. 7

The newcomer His maiden beginning with the national team. A bit sloppy when playing out but his whipped set-pieces posed a danger. A handy pace-controller available to the boss to call upon versus defensive opponents. Booked after a reckless foul. 6/10

Declan Rice Set-pieces on corner kicks and set-plays caused problems. Was given freedom to roam down the left flank but was offside when the ball arrived with a chance to score. Awarded a deserved break on the hour mark. 6

The star midfielder Operated in an advanced role out wide while also contributed with defensive duties. Displayed moments of class but mishit an effort wide. Substituted in the closing stages by Rogers, a fellow player, after being booked. 7

The winger Had the team's top opening in the opening period, his effort excellently kept out by the Albanian keeper. As Quansah hanging back, he was forced to provide width down the right side yet his deliveries from the touchline were hit and miss. Substituted with 15 to go. 6

Harry Kane The match-winner netting seventy-seventh and seventy-eighth goals in an England shirt. His first a trademark poacher’s finish and his next an excellent headed goal following a clever run from his marker. Aged 32, his form is unwavering and the side are strong contenders in the upcoming tournament when he's in the team. 8

The attacker Struggled to influence play on the left flank. Had a presentable chance following a pass by Bellingham yet the keeper kept it out. Rashford had a greater effect after coming on. 5/10
