The Co-Creator of Call of Duty, Has Passed Away in an LA Vehicle Accident
The co-creator of Call of Duty, the mind behind the immensely successful franchise Call of Duty, has passed away in a car accident in the state of California aged 55.
Zampella's death was confirmed by Electronic Arts, the publisher that controls Respawn Entertainment, a game studio he co-founded.
The celebrated video game developer passed away following his vehicle was involved in a crash and burst into flames on a motorway in LA on Sunday, US media outlets report.
"This represents a devastating loss, and we stand with Vince's family, his loved ones, and everyone impacted by his creative vision," an official with Electronic Arts commented.
