The Streaming Giant Chooses Perfect Star for Bentham in One Piece Season 3

Baroque Works is set to play a huge role in the forthcoming season on Netflix of One Piece, although the true confrontation isn’t set to occur until season 3, and a adored, popular member has just been cast.

Netflix announced recently that Cole Escola has joined the One Piece cast for the third season and will portray Bon Clay. The role can use their power to transform into an identical duplicate of any individual they’ve made contact with with their main hand. The actor, who is identifies as non-binary and prefers they/them pronouns, will depict a interpretation of that figure reimagined as non-binary, rather than as a drag queen, in the live-action series, unlike the original manga and animated series.

The new cast member will work alongside several other fresh additions who will portray Baroque Works to reality, such as head Mr. 0, played by the seasoned performer, a talented actress as another operative, and Sendhil Ramamurthy, who also joins the ensemble as King Nefertari Cobra of the fictional land.

Although this character is a key figure of the group, the character won’t appear until One Piece season 3. Given the next season likely to portray the Little Garden arc, this marks a significant shift in the schedule of the character’s debut, one that could signal further changes to the narrative framework.

Escola’s blend of excellent comedic sense and profound feeling makes them a ideal selection for the role. Along with their recent voice performance in the animated feature Boys Go to Jupiter, they earned widespread acclaim and numerous honors for creating and performing in the popular theatrical show Oh Mary!, showcasing the adaptability they’ll add to one of One Piece’s widely praised figures.

Netflix's live-action One Piece series is due to premiere for its second season on the tenth of March, 2026.
