England footballer Michelle Agyemang, darts prodigy Luke Littler and cricket star Davina Perrin have been shortlisted for the 2025 Young Sports Personality of the Year award.

These three athletes have been honoured for their exceptional achievements over the last year.

Agyemang played a key role in helping the Lionesses claim victory in Euro 2025, Littler claimed the world title for the first time, and Perrin rose to fame with a record-breaking innings.

Littler was the recipient in 2024 after his breakthrough year.

The three contenders were announced live on a popular morning radio program.

The champion will be revealed live on the annual sports awards show on December 18th.

The event will be aired from seven in the evening GMT.

Agyemang's Profile

Age: 19 Sport: Football

A mere three months after her international debut, Agyemang played a crucial and game-changing role in England's run to European Championship victory.

She was introduced as a substitute to score crucial late equalisers in both the last eight and last four matches.

Agyemang's stunning interventions led to her being named the tournament's top young talent.

Afterwards, she was awarded the prestigious Golden Girl honour for the finest emerging star on the continent.

She was also in contention for the Kopa Trophy for the planet's top young female footballer.

Agyemang, who has been at Brighton in a temporary move from Arsenal, sustained a serious knee injury in October.

"Being nominated for this award is incredible," said Agyemang. "I'm grateful to God and I'm grateful for the support I've received from my loved ones, mentors, colleagues and supporters."

The Darts Prodigy

Littler kicked off the year in sensational style as - aged 17 - he became the earliest-ever winner in history.

He secured a commanding win over Michael van Gerwen in the final.

His subsequent victory at the World Matchplay made him only the fifth individual to complete the prestigious PDC Triple Crown.

And he wasn't finished there - his victory at November's Grand Slam of Darts meant he reached world number one for the first time.

At 18, he is the youngest man to do so, shattering the previous record.

"Earning a spot on the shortlist for Young Sports Personality of the Year is a huge privilege," stated Littler. "Winning last year was a special memory for me and I've had another unbelievable 12 months. I want to continue promoting darts."

The Cricket Sensation

Perrin is one of English cricket's most exciting young talents and surged to prominence with an unbelievable and unprecedented innings in August.

Her magnificent 42-ball century in The Hundred is the speediest century from an England batswoman in T20s.

It also stands as the equal third-quickest women's T20 century in a premier tournament.

Perrin came in second place in the batting rankings and was named PCA Women's Young Player of the Year.

"I'm incredibly grateful to be nominated for the young athlete award," expressed Perrin. "It means a great deal. I hope it motivates more young females to get into cricket."
