Your Perfect Pocket Monster Tales: Z-A Mega Evolution Based on Your Astrological Sign

The comeback of Super Forms in Pokémon Legends: Z-A has ignited widespread excitement across the fandom. From the gradual reveal of fresh additions before the title's release, to players developing firm views on the full lineup of new Megas, there's a lot for enthusiasts to look forward to.

With many of the Super Forms boasting distinctive designs that emphasize their personalities, one thought naturally: What's the best way to link this with astrology? This list is based on a mix of vibes, sign stereotypes, and personal experience.

The Ram – Mega Camerupt

To be truthful, Houndoom was almost selected for this fire sign, as both are the Mega Pokémon and astrological sign that evoke the most fear. However, a Super Houndoom appears as constantly furious, which doesn't match the Aries vibe, known for being playful, cheerful, and impulsive. That's why Aries far more akin to Mega Camerupt, which only erupts when angered. Remain on the friendly side of both and enjoy a powerful ally; should you offend them, be ready to get burned.

The Bull – Mega Heracross

Much like a loyal Taurus, the reliable Heracross, whether in its standard and Mega form, has assisted many trainers in Legends: Z-A. Though dependable, both the Pokémon and a Bull are also battle-oriented, and – whether it's their companion or a strong opinion – will stand up for their position to the end. The thing about Super Heracross that reminds me most of my Taurus friends, however, is its unashamed passion for treats. Several past Pokédex entries mention their craving for sweet sap and how it employs its appendage to collect it all, which is true Bull-sign vibe.

Gemini – Super Medicham

Look at this total royalty. It's impossible to tell me this Pokémon is not the life of any gathering, providing an constant stream of gossip to anyone who wants to listen. Much like an enrapturing, gregarious Gemini, it's very easy to envision Mega Medicham mesmerizing an whole open area with their tales. This Pokémon's Pokédex entry also mentions its capacity to foresee an opponent's future actions, which seems very like a socially-savvy Gemini.

Cancer – Super Manectric

Cancer is widely regarded as the most emotional sign of the zodiac, a passionate sign famous for often getting absorbed in their feelings. Per the official info, Super Evolution charges the Pokémon with a “huge quantity of energy, but it's too much for Manectric to fully control,” which sounds a lot like a typical Crab emotional outburst. It is also known for its ability to make a storm cloud over its own head – and if there’s a single trait a Crab is going to do, it’s rain on their good time.

The Lion – Mega Starmie

Well, did you think I was planning to select the lion Pokémon for the lion of the stars? Besides the reality that it would be far too obvious, Leo is clearly Super Starmie, the diva whose legs just went viral for being extremely glamorous (or horrifying, depending on your preference). Fans couldn’t look away from the purple starfish, and that’s exactly the same vibe a Lion brings to the table. This Pokémon is also said to be broadcasting radio waves from its center out into the cosmos, and it’s just like a Lion to be staging a show, even if for aliens.

Virgo – Mega Victreebel

The always-ready and perpetually-anxious Maiden is perfectly represented in Mega Victreebel, the Super Form with constant acid reflux. The zodiac symbol famous for being charmingly judgmental is clearly mirrored throughout this creature's entire evolutionary chain, from a perpetually shocked expression like a Virgo when you inform them you don’t have a 401(k), to its upside-down face that’s just like the symbol a Maiden sends to the group chat when everyone says they want to “be spontaneous” instead of making a strategy.

Libra – Mega Audino

Look at this sweet, sensitive being, who employs the feelers on its auditory organs to detect how others are feeling by their pulse. Consistently compassionate – occasionally to a fault – and trying to keep the harmony, there are numerous Scales who would probably benefit from Mega Audino’s skills. Though, to be frank, it would likely just make them worry more about others.

The Scorpion – Mega Banette

This Ghost-type is a creature with a unexpectedly tragic backstory: Discarded as a doll, it became sentient through pure resentment and swore retribution on its previous caretaker. According to the official info, Super Evolution, “enhances its vindictiveness.” That sounds exactly like many discussions I’ve had with my scary Scorpion acquaintances. A Scorpion loves karma and comeuppance, making them the perfect pair with Super Banette.

Sagittarius – Mega Hawlucha

Each Super Hawlucha and Sagittarians are always staging a performance. As a Sagittarius personally, the number of occasions I’ve referred to myself some version of a “playful little jester” is innumerable. The showiest and most attention-seeking Super Form, its Pokédex entry even notes how it “poses to show off its power.” I would do the very same thing if I had some kind of Mega evolved form, making Super Hawlucha the most apt Sagittarius counterpart I can think of.

Capricorn – Mega Absol

Were you aware that a Mega Absol has the ability to predict disasters in advance? That gives the exact same vibe as a Goat, who often consistently believe they’re correct. The thing is, much like a prophetic Mega Absol, they often are. It’s also the very first Super Form that players encounter in Legends: Z-A – typical of a Goat to join the ground floor of the Mega trend.

Aquarius – Mega Chandelure

Aloof air sign Water Bearer is arguably the non-fire sign that is most like a flame symbol – its counterpart is the Lion, and there are countless jokes about the Archer and Aquarius being unpredictable accomplices. Mega Chandelure’s dual Spirit/Flame category matches perfectly with this, and the Mega’s overall daunting presence is also extremely Water Bearer. If you hadn't yet persuaded, the Super Form's Pokédex entry says it “draws in negative energy and transforms it into strength.” If that fails to exactly {encaps
